Kremlin to host World Cup finals draw



The draw for the 2018 World Cup finals facilitated by Russia will happen in the Kremlin on December 1, the nation's Football Union (RFU) boss Vitaly Mutko said Monday.

Mutko, Russia's appointee leader, said that world football's decision body FIFA had endorsed the arrangement however FIFA presently couldn't seem to remark.

"The World Cup finals draw function will happen on December 1," TASS news organization cited Mutko as saying at a meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

"We have proposed holding it in the Kremlin Palace of Congresses.

"All that suited FIFA and now we are planning to stage this last draw."

Russia will have the 2018 World Cup between June 14 and July 15 at 12 stadiums in 11 urban communities including Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi.

These four urban communities are additionally the hosts of the 2017 Confederations Cup that commences in Kazan on June 17 and will end with a last in Saint Petersburg on July 2.
